That's what Asim K. the "Math Tutor" demands to know, if anyone stops him when he tapes up his two-sided signs to the bus shelters on the corner of 72nd, near his walk-up lair.

This guy who is not part of the city school system, NOT under any supervision, and puts up signs wanting to get his hands on young kids...keeps right on SCOFFING.

So who are YOU, Micah Kellner?

Who are you, Jessica Lappin?

Who are you, Liz Krueger?

Who are YOU, Michael Bloomberg?

Who are YOU of the 19th Precinct?

Who are YOU of the Sanitation Department?

WHO calls up "MATH TUTOR" and tells him THE LAW, or WHO hands him a desk appearance ticket for an appearance in court?

The evidence is right here. Today, Saturday, 3:45 pm, and "MATH TUTOR" is at it again.

Surely someone is smart enough to come up with a solution to scofflaws like this. It's money in the pockets of the city. It's good for the neighborhood. Mayor Giuliani knew how important it was to eliminate graffiti, posterizing, "quality of life" outrages, and to make things harder on the racket squad con-jobs of unlicensed "tutors," and computer repair people and "psychic" fortune tellers.

WHO is on the phone in this picture?

The bus driver. He could be calling 911, or the 19th Precinct...he's got five or maybe even ten minutes to kill before he starts up his bus (corner of 72nd and York) and heads across town.

He could be collecting a percentage of the fine that "MATH TUTOR" must pay for turning the bus shelters into his private ad campaign. How much money does the city charge for a real ad on a bus shelter? "MATH TUTOR" gets HIS for free.

Is anyone going to do something about this perpetual scoffing from "MATH TUTOR?"

Sleazy "LIVE HOT SPOT" SCOFFLAW SCUM

4:30pm, July 24th. Three snickering 20-something idiots, each with a stack of red stickers, go marching from York Avenue and 79th across town.
They are getting chump change (from a sleaze in a gray SUV that trailed them) for putting three or four stickers on EVERY lamp post and bus shelter
Hah hah. What FUN!
One of the ANTI-SCOFFLAW PATROL peeled a sign off the light pole. The sleaze in the SUV saw it and called out to his 20-something henchmen to "deal" with it.  
So the confrontation began:
One Dude: "So you're taking down our sign?"
ANTI-SCOFFLAW PATROL: "It's illegal to put stickers on lamp posts and bus shelters."
Another Dude: "Don't be taking down our signs!"
ANTI-SCOFFLAW PATROL: "You could be fined for what you're doing. Do you understand that?"
First Dude, grinning: "Why don't you let US worry about that?"
Indeed...here's a dude with his cap on backwards, shorts, no socks, cheap sunglasses...and you wonder if he could afford the fine. Then again, he knows that cops aren't likely to even haul him away.

But who else SCOFFLAWS with stickers on lampposts? Rarely anyone with class, or anyone making an "honest" mistake and not knowing it's illegal.

The jerk who runs this website hires a few brainless chicks to pretend that they're hanging out in the "hot spots" he promotes?

5pm. It's a pleasant summer day, low humidity.

Is it possible to walk a few city blocks WITHOUT seeing a sneaky sign for a "psychic?" No.

While the Witch of 73rd Street didn't put a sign out today (after having been literally called on it by a city agency yesterday), a few blocks away the other psychic (see below) has once again chained a sign at 1st and 75th....

This obnoxious "psychic" hasn't stopped.

Blocking the sidewalk illegally, chaining up the sign illegally, uglifying and cheapening the neighborhood, here's the "psychic"'s work on display. All to try and get people to walk down the street and find that disgusting basement hovel where she grubs for cash.

You can see the front page of the newspaper touting the BATMAN movie which opened at midnight. This was photographed at 5pm. The "psychic" can foresee that it's safe to put up a sign after 5pm on a weekend...only this "psychic" is so pstupid, that she can't predict whether the sign will be removed, if she will be fined, or if someone will come to her door and put handcuffs on her and take her away.

PS, a report confirms our troll-ish "MATH TUTOR" did indeed tape a sign to the uptown bus shelter on York and 72nd Street today, but no picture to show you. You've seen that moronic sign enough! But when, Aram, will enough be enough for you? You clearly are a totally incompetent "math tutor," nobody wants to hire you, and you are incredibly ugly and arrogant as well. At least you don't claim to be "psychic." You just claim that what you do is ok, and you yell "who are you" to anyone who catches you putting up your signs and tells you they are illegal.

PHONY PSYCHICS - AN NBC REPORT

Above, a scene from the NBC report on the world of the PHONY PSYCHIC who runs a cheap storefront. These all look alike, don't they? The low-rent hovel. The hokey witch with her "atmospheric" room full of ooky-spooky junk. Oh yes, and the stacks of cheaply printed handbills that the "PSYCHIC" litters the streets with, and if it hasn't been sneaked onto the sidewalk, that corny "PSYCHIC" metal sandwich-board sign with the silly mystic symbols all over it. These symbols translate to: "DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY."

PSYCHIC SCOFFLAW HASN'T QUIT YET!

July 19th...all week, after 6pm, the PSYCHIC has been chaining that illegal sandwich-board sign to public property.

Sociopath "PSYCHICS" don't care if two elderly people struggle to avoid the sign...of if kids scratch their faces on it, or wheelchair people can't get by.

This blog could post a photo showing THIS sign up and blocking the sidewalk on July 16,17,18. A photo could be posted for tomorrow, the 20th, and for the weekend of the 21st and 22nd. Is that necessary? Shouldn't this farce be over by now?

BAREBURGER (1370 1st Avenue) is a thriving restaurant that PAYS for their space. They offer a service that is honest. And they don't need to stick an illegal sandwich board sign in front of their restaurant. But the "PSYCHIC" does it. Free ads for the "PSYCHIC."

How many people has she swindled in Brooklyn and now in New York?

The question is whether the 19th Precinct or officers of the Sanitation Department will come by on a week night or a weekend, and do it a few times, to see the abuse, and to FINE these two idiots
The 311 number reported on the Psychic (who, 311 says, was reported by others only a few minutes earlier, which would've been around 7pm) is: 2012-M-L-8006478.
It would be helpful if, when a 19th Precinct cop car is cruising about, a citizen could flag it down, point out a violation a block away, and get some action. Don't the police have the ability to write a ticket?

EVERY NIGHT Asim K., the troll-like MATH TUTOR, scuttles down from his third floor walk-up and carefully tapes his crappy signs to the 72nd Street bus shelters

That's the bus shelter on the corner of 72nd and York...

And going downtown, the OTHER bus shelter on the corner of 72nd and York Avenue...

Asim can not seem to get work. Body odor? Incompetence? Whatever the problem, he will persist in putting up these signs, always AFTER 5pm on Weeknights and ON WEEKENDS until he is fined often enough to make it financially impossible to keep it up.

This blog could post a fresh photo every day, and tape a newspaper front page to show you it's yet another evening of work for Aram. But IS that necessary? IS that the way it should be in this city?

July 19th's phone call to 311 yielded the usual response: within 4-7 days, somebody may look at the bus shelter, perhaps at the right time of the evening or on the weekend, and maybe see the sign, and maybe take it down. And maybe issue a fine?

Our post from JUNE 28th was about the "PSYCHIC" who chains up an illegal sign on the corner of 73rd Street and 1st Ave, making a high-profile area her own illegal billboard space to bring traffic down the street to her questionable "cash only" scam.
Has NY SANITATION fined her? Stopped her?
The weekend of JULY 14-15, and maybe a crystal ball told our PSYCHO PSYCHIC: "SANITATION will NOT catch you. Do as you please!" ...

What's that on her sign? It's a page from THE NEW YORK POST, July 14th, 2012. Just to let YOU know that this SCOFFLAW is STILL SCOFFING after being reported over and over.

This is the 21st Century and a con-job jerk with tarot readings and a crystal ball can spit on the city and keep running her racket?

Can't the city benefit from confiscating this sign and making the "PSYCHIC" pay $200 or $500 to get it back?

WHAT SHE DOES IS UGLY, ILLEGAL, ENCOURAGES MORE ABUSE, CREATES A SIDEWALK HAZARD...and all it takes is a minute to write out a ticket or clip the chain and remove the sign. Is that really asking too much?

"MATH TUTOR" - a Bus Shelter SCOFFLAW

Who is the only person to constantly put signs on bus shelters on the Upper East Side?
The MATH TUTOR, Asim the Old Asshole.

If you tell him what he does is illegal, he sneers, "Who are you?" If you take down his sign he shouts, "You have no right!"

And he righteously tapes more signs up as if public property is his property. He's easily over 70 years old, and looks like a DIRTY OLD MAN. It's creepy that he can put up illegal signs and try and get his hands on young children as a "tutor."

Do we have another Jerry Sandusky here?

After 5pm and on weekends, this old sicko will scuttle downstairs from his crappy walk-up on 72nd Street and hit the bus shelters near his apartment. If he is in the mood for more of a stroll, every bus shelter from 66th to 86th gets hit.

He prints his signs specifically for bus shelters so that people see his obnoxious message coming...

Why is Asim so obnoxious and arrogant about posting the signs? Seems to be one reason: he's not been fined enough. See the bus in the distance?

Instead of driving off leaving the sign intact, the driver could've taken a moment to pull it, bring it to the depot after his shift, and get a percentage of the fine. 

He makes money, the city makes money, and a pest has to cease and desist. Because the fines are not worth it anymore.

The Dept. of Sanitation takes so long to check out a violation that the old bastard's signs are gone by the time they do.

It takes 20 minutes or more to get through the pre-recorded blab at 311, get an operator who even understands the issue, and have that person take down the info. Only to get the usual "someone went by and didn't see any sign" (because it was pulled down by some irate citizen days earlier).

Why not have the 311 website equipped to accept photographic evidence?

Why not, for a repeat offender and scofflaw, get the 19th precinct, a doorman, or someone else to verify a report so that a fine can be issued by Sanitation? 


It's been more than a year of "MATH TUTOR" signs on these bus shelters, and dozens of people have filed Internet complaints like this one:

For over a year, "MATH TUTOR" has had his way, made money (cash business) and lured children to his apartment.

Is this really what the city wants? Some strange guy who puts up illegal ads on bus shelters getting un-taxed cash and private hours un-supervised by school principals, guards or monitors? Why reward bad behavior? Why have a system rigged for what could end up a terrifying NY Post headline about children put at risk?
