Why wasn't it taken down YESTERDAY? Somebody from Sanitation said, "Sorry, I can't do anything. I was told the sign is legal." By who? "By the people who put up the sign."
Yes, believe it or not, some fool in Sanitation gave "it's legal" as an excuse. Just when you thought it was frustrating enough to hear, "Sorry, we didn't see the sign" or "Sorry, we can't send anyone over, we're short-staffed," here's somebody who saw the sign and was talked out of doing ANYTHING about it.
A city employee doesn't know CITY LAW. If you check the Sanitation Regulations Manual, which this FOOL wouldn't do, it's in there: SIDEWALK OBSTRUCTION is NOT LEGAL:
