The Witch & the Goat : SCOFF SCOFFING AGAIN

What a surprise. It's another weekend, it's after 5pm...and what do we see? Why, it's the Witch of 73rd Street posting her conjob "Psychic" sign again. And yes, it's the old goat "Math Tutor," stubbornly doing the same. SCOFF! SCOFF! "THIS IS MY SIGN!" says the husband of the PSYCHIC witch. "MY PROPERTY!" To put anywhere he likes, as long as it's after 5pm and on weekends. Does he know the law? Sure he does. Does he scoff at it? Sure he does!

The bus drivers could take down that sign. Or report it. Then the Dept. of Transportation could issue a fine to ASIM K., the "MATH TUTOR." Out of a sense of "fairness" unknown to this wretch, and which might result in some bodily harm to him by some public spirited citizen who has even less regard for law than he does, his full name won't be printed here.

But right now, anyone who tells him what he does is illegal, gets a growl of "WHO AHHHH YOU? WHO AHHHHH YOU?"

SCOFF! SCOFF!

Let con artists and low-life "tutors" who are un-hirable by the city, do as they please? Use valuable real estate space that is at a premium for their petty criminal activity?

What do the city agencies do in cases like this? They issue warnings? That might stop some, but not a NYC SCOFFLAW.

"We can tell them not to do this," government officials say. And yes, government officials have definitely called the "PSYCHIC," and what's happened? SCOFF, SCOFF, SCOFF

"We can tell them to remove the sign."

And how does that impact on their SCOFFING? How about fines? Larger fines each time?
