Since the 19th Precinct says "it's not our job" and the Sanitation Department doesn't work on Sunday, it's SCOFFLAW DAY.
It's a FREE day to con the public with psychic con games and palm reading.
On 71st and Second, "ASHLEY" is available to part people from their money.

"The Garden Florist" is on the corner. The store is responsible for keeping the sidewalk clean...of litter, of snow, so how about signs?
How much money could the city make if they fined the STORE that allowed the sign on the sidewalk?
If "The Garden" was fined for allowing this pest's sign, you can bet that the store owner would make damn sure this pest didn't do it again.

A few blocks away, on 75th and 1st Avenue, the arrogant, ugly man who lives with his obnoxious ugly non-psychic con-artist wife, keeps lugging a sign and chaining it on the corner.
He's been doing it on most Sundays for FOUR YEARS now.
Oh look, a NEW sign, a different color.

How many gullible immigrants and dotty old people do fake "psychics" swindle every day? Enough for many articles in the New York Times and other local papers.
And yet the elected officials can't come up with laws to handle these constant scofflaws?
A few blocks up, and it's 78th and 2nd, and here's another weekend scsofflaw. For four years this nasty, simian-faced wretched little monster has had a hulking oaf help her chain the sign up, and the yell and curse anyone who points out that what they do is ILLEGAL.

Why not have that strong law making sure that a second, third, and fourth violation mean $200 or $500 or $1000 in fines? A law allowing Sanitation/Transportation/Police to cut the chain.
Why, instead, do the cops come racing out if a citizen spray paints the "property" some illegal alien scumbag chained illegally to public property?
The ONLY fake "psychic" who didn't put up a sign today is the one that used to do it at 78th and 1st Avenue and in front of her basement grotto.
Either the rent was raised, or she was carted off to jail. The place is FOR RENT. But you can still see the sign in the window, and an A-Frame still chained up just like she left it.
