"QUALITY OF LIFE," and the "No Broken Windows" theory, were hallmarks of Rudy Giuliani's mayorship. Let's keep on making sure the streets are clean, graffiti removed, and POSTERIZING scofflaws fined. Don't let the grifter block the sidewalk with panhandling and leaflet scams. Enforcing the law is profitable. The city makes money. In most cases, the scofflaw has a real apartment or store and can easily be made to pay the fine. If only someone writes the ticket!

The Arrogant Cheaters on 75th Street Who NEVER STOP
JUNE update: While you never know with the 75th Street "PSYCHIC," nobody's reported on seeing the sign chained in front of their shabby apartment building In April or May. One reason may be fines and warnings, another may be that they've got the front of the building festooned with so many other signs, one on the sidewalk is overkill. As to whether the witch hands out leaflets on the street, or street festivals, or sits down at a portable table and chair to do "readings," that's another problem.
ORIGINAL POST:
In broad daylight the arrogant "Psychic" continues to SCOFFLAW.
Here comes the sign again, blocking the sidewalk, advertising CON-ARTIST scams. "Let's take advantage of the superstitious immigrants, and the dotty old ladies, and the lonely wretches in no condition to think straight and grasping for any fetid straw..."
This creepy woman has been doing this scofflaw game for over FIVE YEARS. She's chained signs to one street corner, then another, and often chained TWO signs, one for each street corner.
For a selfish sociopath, enough is NEVER enough.

Cheating and Swindling New Yorkers, Right Under the Noses of the Law
Saturday's 1st Avenue Street Fair, JUNE 3rd.
Did the presence of a police officer bother a phony psychic?
Obviously not. 75th and 1st Avenue. A fat shill hands out illegal cards, right in front of a cop. That's bold isn't it?
The tubby pest wants people to throw their money away on The Sleaze of 435 East 75th, the neighborhood embarrassment, a Scofflaw who has spent over five years chaining signs to lamp posts and playing fortune-teller games to take money from sad, superstitious and lonely victims.
Isn't the city supposed to PREVENT FRAUD?
This shill isn't the fake 'psychic.' The faker was seated on a folding chair on the corner of 1st and 75th to take in the CASH she probably doesn't declare on her tax return. If she's even a citizen.
How brazen is this scofflaw? A Sanitation official came to the door, announced who he was, and was IGNORED. The gypsy wouldn't let him in. She watched him knock and knock until he left.
Another time, Sanitation called up and the Scofflaw said, "Oh, I didn't know the sign was illegal. Why, I'll bring it in right away." She did. And chained it back up the next day. What could that guy do but give up, rather than call, get a smirky "I didn't know," and have it repeat over and over?
In earlier posts you'll see the various A-frame signs this "psychic" has chained up to swindle the gullible. We have the FDA to protect consumers who don't know how many insect parts are in the peanut butter, and our officials should PROTECT the citizens who don't realize fortune telers are CON ARTISTS.
Pulling bajours at a Street Fair? How BRAZEN does it get?
While legitimate businesses PAID to have tables at the fair, the phony "PSYCHIC" simply put out a few folding chairs on the corner of 75th and 1st, to get all the CASH she could.

She did this in full view of a policeman who chose to literally look the other way.
She did this within 30 feet of the BEN KALLOS table.
She did this within two blocks of the REBECCA SEAWRIGHT table.
Guess what? The KALLOS and SEAWRIGHT volunteers had NO IDEA what to do about it. A cop who was told of the problem shrugged and said, "That's not our job. The Street Fair has their own security team." Really? If there's a mugging or robbery that also should be handled by the Street Fair's security team?
KALLOS and SEAWRIGHT's people weren't about to help find anyone from Street Fair security, even though they had cellphones and obviously had to show permits to set up their tables.
Five years, and fines haven't stopped the abuse. Signs taken away by Sanitation or vigilantes have been replaced, and she has been nasty and obnoxious to anyone who has told her what her antics are against the law. Her attitude toward city officials has been lip service at best: "Oh, I didn't know." Then she smiles, knowing that city officials will get tired of the humiliation of being sweetly told, in essence, to drop dead.
When will the police take this matter seriously?
Isn't it about time gypsies and con artists and deadbeats get the message to CEASE AND DESIST?
Kallos and Seawright thought enough of the Neighborhood Street Festival to have tables. This parasite set up free, chaining a sign and bringing out folding chairs to rook people.
FIVE YEARS of shrugging off 311 calls, Sanitation, the 19th percent, and the elected officials, all to con people for cash.
One cop at the Street Fair chuckled. "Why are you complaining? Did you lose money?"
