19th Precinct to Sanitation Dept: YOU'RE GARBAGE

September 29th, and TWO cars from the 19th Precinct were parked right next to 435 East 75th Street. Right in front of the PSYCHIC sign.

This sign has been reported to Sanitation and the 19th Precinct again. And again. And again.
SCOFF SCOFF SCOFF.

Patrol car 243208 was at the scene. The police were informed. "Would you help out Sanitation, and at least tell this man to take the sign away? Can't you make a note it's there and be the eyes of Sanitation, which is short-handed on a Sunday?"

No. This was followed by a surly demand, "Tell me where, in the penal code, there's a violation."

The 19th Precinct has, in the past month, on a half-dozen phone complaints, offered up all kinds of excuses for NOT helping out the Sanitation Department, ranging from "there's a parade," to "there's a change of shifts," to, believe it or not (believe it, it's been recorded) the suggestion "call 911 about it." Yes, 911, not 311.

HERE'S AN UGLY SIGN YOU CAN'T MISS
The Sanitation Department has one person on patrol on a Saturday...the 19th Precinct has many more. And they were RIGHT THERE. TWO CARS.
NO ACTION.

NO OTHER BUSINESS in this neighborhood puts an ILLEGAL SIGN ON THE SIDEWALK LIKE THIS.
This is a downright disgrace.

TWO PATROL CARS, AND THEY WON'T EVEN TAKE ONE MINUTE TO TALK TO THE "PSYCHIC" AND SAY "YOUR SIGN IS IN VIOLATION OF CITY LAW..."
